Lately I lost my mojo to scrap and blog :( I found a new timewaster on Facebook. When it comes to Facebook games, I'm a total slave. To make it worse, I play games on iPad too. Wake me up when summer's over. Seriously. I. can't. stand. the. heat. My fan is on for almost 24hrs. It's only a 'balmy' 85ºF, but if you've been living in a 65ºF city for four years, 20ºF is a big jump. *excuses* I *may* stand a little too long in front of the freezer and made way too much ice pops but they didn't help much. To top it off, my neighbor installed an inflatable pool. Jealous much?
I'm glad there are so many gorgeous kits out there because I remain indoor almost all the time and scrap.

I'm a huge fans of flea market and vintage goodies. Lucky for me, there's a monthly flea market in my area that will scrap my wallet clean. I'm usually after vintage cameras, ephemera, and typographical objects (house numbers, old typewriter keys...) My parents were confused by this concept. "So you're actually giving them cash, for an old, moldy camera that does not work anymore? Why on earth?" But seeing the camera on my bookcase makes my heart happy. I wish I can find one that is still working, but they are usually collectibles ( =super expensive)

I'm all for love. I'm so hopelessly romantic and love-minded. I like seeing people in love. I enjoy good love stories (not the temporary chick-flick-ish but the catch-a-grenade-for-you kinda love) Valentine is one of my favorite holiday (aside from Xmas) because I can ask (force) my fiance to follow my super-tacky-lovey-dovey ideas. This year I get to spend it with him! Yay! :) How do you celebrate Valentine with your friends + family? And pets, perhaps?

Ah, you can sense that love is in the air already. January has not ended yet but you can see pink and red hearts everywhere. In the mall, online ads, everywhere! If only my fiance lives nearby I may be super excited about it already, too :) Too bad we live in different cities. Meanwhile I'll just shower my roomies' furbabies with hugs & kisses on valentine's day :)

Hi everyone, it's good to be back home! I surely missed fast internet connection and my cozy bedroom. My room is a mess right now and after unpacking all my stuff I probably need to have an early spring cleaning :)

Cannot believe it's 2011 already! Did everyone have a nice holiday? I'm still in Indonesia at the moment, enjoying my last vacation days. It is a much needed break. I do miss the streaming internet connection though; and it just so happen that my laptop won't connect to the internet so I have to use my dad's old computer that sort of crash every time I use it.

The best part of the holidays is being with family, especially extended family. I've lived too far from my family that we haven't seen each other for quite sometimes. I'm going back for Christmas though, taking my BF with me :) And when I saw this kit from Sugarplum Paperie, my heart just stops. It's so gorgeous and warm, perfect for family photos whether they're heritage or new ones. I'm crazy for anything Nicole made anyway, each lovelier than the next. Sorry for posting this way too late. It was a very hectic day for me here. I visited my dear BF this Thanksgiving holiday and we totally forgot to order our turkey! We ended up with a very last minute dinner plan that involves prime rib (can't complain there) So we didn't prepare anything, try to buy all ingredients today; rushing here and there. In the end we had a wonderful meal, thanks to my BF's family. I had the worst food comma ever and I will skip super early black friday shopping this year. Instead, I spent most of my allowance in digiscrap stuff :p

As you may have seen or heard, it's that time of the month again when all Scrap ID gals came up with a palette and whip up a gorgeous collab for you. This month we came up with Rhyme with the Rain theme. This is what you'll get:

Sometimes I wonder who came up with the idea of having DSD in November, when it's time to save some money for Black Friday + Christmas shopping (at least for me) My savings account got some major damage yesterday because there are sooo many stuff on my wish list in soo many stores :p

I'm a pink and chocolate kind of girl because it reminds me of strawberry-filled chocolate, but I also think the colored version is so refreshing to scrap summer photos that you haven't had a chance to work with.

oh boy it's 91F in here!! Can you believe it's actually San Francisco in September? I went to Los Angeles on the weekend and it was 108F!! I came from a 65F, overcast and foggy town to a steambath city; it was insanely hot. Anyway I'm sort of hoping for a rain, or at least a drizzle so I can wear my boots again and use this new kit from Modern June: Autumn Rain, available at DSM and Scrapable.

Apparently I was wrong when I thought I'll have more time to scrap during this month-long vacation. Downloading kits has been quite a pain despite of my parents' 'high-speed internet' subscription. I left my cable&card reader at home so I couldn't transfer any photos I took :p Sadly my stint as a guest CT for Sugarplum Paperie almost come to an end. I had a wonderful time playing with Nicole's beautiful kits, and I managed to sneak in some quick scrapping times.

Phew, finally I managed to sneak some vacation time, away from school and whatnots. Life's been good; I'm playing facebook games all day long and read some books I purchased a while ago. The downside is, the internet connection here in Indonesia is way slower than in the states. (hence, the facebook games take all day to play) I forgot to tell you that I'm currently a guest CT for Sugarplum Paperie! I was so very excited when I got the email from Nicole. Her Sugarplum Paperie and Girl Friday products are gorgeous! For tomorrow she has a collab with Laura Banasiak:

I had just the right picture for this kit :D My roommates and I bought this fancy hat because we just love the feeling of wearing it! Granted we live in San Francisco where the sun rarely shines, but we're a hopeful bunch.

I am a terrible blogger! I've been a bad scrapper as well, haven't got the time to scrap at all this week. Renata launched this elegant kit aptly titled 'Beautiful' last week, and I haven't got the chance to show it off to you. Get this kit here.

I was away on the weekend and I have no internet access for 3 days. I cannot believe how much I missed during those 3 days, including this. My layout was picked for LOTW! I didn't win, but it is quite an ego boost :) Now I'm back connected again to the virtual world but my real world is kinda hazy. I got infection in my gum due to a bad teeth and my whole left jaw is swollen. I got fever, I can't eat because it's too painful to chew only on one side, and I can't sleep because of the throbbing pain. So people, take good care of your teeth! :) I beg my friend's dentist to sneak me in without appointment so I'm on medication, but I'm drowsy during the day. I hope to get more layouts done and a freebie for all of you soon!

My loyal macbook pro suddenly refused to connect to the internet so I've been setting up a temporary work station closer to the router (in the kitchen...) It's very frustrating, especially since I've never had any real problems with mac. Nevertheless, while I'm connected I might as well post this. I have two new kits to promote this week. Last month I joined Jak-Art-a Scrappers, an all Indonesian scrapbook designers community. They're all very sweet and supportive, I'm glad I found them! One good thing is that every month they come up with a theme, and we all have to design something according to the theme. This month's theme is Satu Tahun / One Year Old, because Jak-Art-a Scrappers is officially one year old! Yay! To celebrate we have a collab going on, and you'll get them for free! Double yay!

It's final week in my school and my advisers have decided to make everything due on the same day. I've been a bit slacking this semester so everything adds up in the end. I just want to get this over with asap :(
Enough venting, now about some kit sharing. First up is a new kit from Serene by RW, called BFF. It's so pretty with ladybugs and flowers abound. It is available at ACOT, Inspiration Lane and Ahhh Scrap.

and here's my first take on it. I'm not so used with busy background but I really wanted to try the flowery background because it's so pretty. I'm going to have another blog news so stay tuned!

It was my birthday last friday, and boy I was spoiled by everyone :) It's also final week for my grad school so I didn't really celebrate. My friends took me to a nice dinner + crepes place. We're still recovering from the sugar :D
I barely got the chance to unzip all my iNSD goodies, but Lisa from Aprilisa Designs came up with this amazing grab bag that I managed to speed-scrap a layout for her. She has a reveal in her blog if you want to know what you're getting in this grab bag. You'll be blown away :)

Oh boy, this is the first iNSD that I actually spent tons of money. Don't you think there are more amazing digiscrap designers each year? I'm all shopped out! So many good deals that I don't want to miss :) I couldn't even catch up with the games and twitterings. All I did these past two days just browse and shop until my eyes got blurry :D
It's a good thing I bought 1TB of external hard drive last year!
Anyways... I'm now also a CT for Serene by RW! Yay! And she has this kit out just in time for iNSD. I love the orange and blue, reminds me of popsicle. mmmm....

I never attempted hybrid because of my limited craftmanship. Yap, shame on me. I'm an art student who does not know how to master the blade. X-acto blade, that is. I actually cut the pieces using manicure scissor because it is so small and manageable. But dear BF's birthday came and went and I didn't have any gift ideas. He requested layouts because he knew I'm a scrap-addict, but I thought one better. I saw this challenge and decided to made him a small photo books of things & people he love. The catch: it has to utilize recycled objects. So I gathered some paint chips and printout mistakes. I use HP brochure paper 180gr and Epson Stylus Photo R1800.

1. I started from free colored paint chips from Home Depot. I love BEHR's, it's perforated in the corner so I can easily punch it.
2. I did my layout on Adobe Illustrator because it is easy to separate every elements on the printable area after I decided what the layout looks like.
3. Print and trim and paste and repeat. I didn't use foam stickers to attach the elements. Instead I gather all the leftovers from the paper cutouts, trim them into small rectangles and make a loop. Glue the ends together, and attach the loop into the elements. It's a bit similar to pop-up tricks, basically.

April and May must be my favorite scrapbooking month, because I love all the color on spring kits. Although these two months I must have spent more than I should because of all the sales going on in the digiscrapping world. It was so bad that I was considering to take the bus instead of driving because the $5 I usually spent on paying parking can actually buy a kit :p How nutty is that?! And if you're not familiar with the bus in SF, here's a link, see for yourself why I chose to drive. :D

Diddly dee, diddly doo.. I always love doodle-y kits, and look what colorful kit came my way. So many colors to choose from, three sets of alphas to play with, Bohemian Chic is great to scrap all your spring photos. I have four aspiring models in my household right now: my housemates' five dogs :) Now that I'm a CT I need more pictures than ever. Not having adorable babies and kids is a bit challenging, I don't really want to scrap my own face everyday lol. One dog in particular is more than happy to have his pictures taken, so he'll show up in my layouts along with my moody little shih-tzu.

Oof, I've just spent a whole month of school break with my parents so I barely managed to do any scrapbooking at all. I did, however, make some damage to my scrapbooking budget by doing tons of scrapbooking shopping. Have you heard? Funky Playground and Tracy Ann are closing! And there are so many designers retiring, makes me sad :( I did take advantage of the sales, though *grin*

On a lighter note, my favorite designer Jaime Choi has open a store at Mscraps! Have you check it out yet? You should, or ... maybe not because the collections there are too fabulous, you may end up making a big purchase ... :p

And on my last vacation days, I've turned into a layout machine. I followed several challenges and started working on my project 365 + book of me (ambitious, eh...) May I share them with you all?

I love three paper peonies' designs and challenges. This time she created a gorgeous paper pack called Adore and the challenge is to scrap your loved one. I have about 300 gB of very girly digikits, and I couldn't imagine having ribbons and flowers next to my bf's face :p That's why I love this paper pack, it's gender neutral and so versatile.

My bf is not much of a talker, sometimes I wonder what's going on in his mind. And I'd start over-analyzing and over-thinking stuff *girls, aargh* I'd be so worry that the reason he's so quiet is because he's bored and blah blah blah... *clearly I'm the talker here* Then he would laughed at me because I'm so silly and after looking at his warm, loving smile I'd feel so much better. ♥

I'm a new fan of Three Paper Peonies designs: they're beautiful, versatile, and free! :D She's having a challenge with a pretty sweet gift. The deadline is tomorrow though, so I rushed in between homeworks to create this layout. The theme is 'family'. What makes us a family? I look 100% like my mom, but my personality is 100% my dad. They're different like day and night but their marriage is very stable, going on 32 yrs together now. What we all have in common is we love to travel. A lot. Everytime we got home after a trip we're just itching for another one. If only my poor dog can travel with us it'll be perfect.

Inspired by this lovely kit from Sweet Blossom Design (which is on sale until the 14th! It's very versatile so go buy it!), I created my own blue/cream mini. It contains four textured papers, two epoxy stickers, one felt flower and one tag. I really like this color combination, hopefully I can have time to expand it to a full kit. I promised this yesterday but I'm still on my final projects, so this set is a bit late. I'm still learning how to make a kit cohesive, but I love these papers and my elements, so hopefully you can combine these with other kits you already own... I've abandoned Scrapbooking for so long! How I miss doing layouts and following challenges, but right now I'm very close to final! Yay! Although instead of finishing my final projects, I made some Christmas elements. I've been shopping like crazy with so many daily fab christmas sales available, and I got inspired. :)
I don't have the paper yet, hopefully soon :)
